I&#8217;m still sewing for Christmas, but these presents will be staying here bringing joy to my own sweet kids.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been dying to sew up the NimblePhish Baby Dragon <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/111420562\/dragon-baby-plush-pdf-sewing-pattern\">pattern<\/a>. I scoured up some materials. I had already decided I wanted to use some of the left over Charcoal cotton velour from a recent custom blanket.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/a-dragon-is-hatched\/stripes2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-367\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-367\" alt=\"stripes2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/stripes2.jpg\" width=\"676\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/stripes2.jpg 676w, https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/stripes2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/stripes2-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/stripes2-150x112.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was so squishy and soft I knew it would be perfect for the Bean&#8217;s new friend. I also decided we needed some cute accent print and I had some Grumpus Nimbus fabric on hand. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/a-dragon-is-hatched\/fabric\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-369\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-369\" alt=\"fabric\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/fabric.jpg\" width=\"676\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/fabric.jpg 676w, https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/fabric-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/fabric-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gonna be cute, right? You can see all the pieces traced out on fusible fleece. I was mostly sharing the process with friends and this blog post was an after the fact idea.\u00a0So we get things sewn up combining our carefully chosen fabrics with our traced pieces and start to end up with cute little things like baby dragon feet.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/a-dragon-is-hatched\/samsung-16\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-370\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-370\" alt=\"SAMSUNG\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/feet.jpg\" width=\"563\" height=\"422\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/feet.jpg 563w, https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/feet-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.turkandbean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/feet-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 563px) 100vw, 563px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At this point I&#8217;m already making that fan girly squee noise. How can you not think these are the cutest little feet ever?\u00a0No? I&#8217;d never get anything done that way and really the kids have a lot of fun guessing what the end results will be. Still working out some details, but I hope to have a couple slots ready for the stocking at Pins &amp; Needles on the 2nd.
